When you say that you’ve got a new hip, you always get horror stories about what went wrong for other people. Then I always say that the surgeon couldn’t have done a proper job, I tell them that Frank was my doctor and therefore nothing could go wrong! It’s only a pity that I can’t climb trees anymore, doing pull-ups isn’t what it used to be, but actually I never could do them in the first place! No kidding, everything is going so well. My wife couldn’t believe her eyes. It is a bit crazy, the difference it makes if you don’t cut through the muscles. You start to wonder why the operation isn’t always done by this method. The day after the operation I could already have gone home, but I stayed one more night in a hotel with my buddy and then drove home the following day. My rehabilitation is going really well. It’s now almost a week since the operation and I’m able to walk around the house with only one crutch. So I find the method you use a good one and my recovery is going very well.”
