Are you EU citizen?
If you would like to schedule a medical procedure at a private clinic in another EU country
you will be able to apply for reimbursement upon your return; As long as the medical treatment you undergo is included in your national social security system.

Please note that as far as costs are concerned, the rate of your home country applies.
You will be reimbursed up to the amount the same treatment would have cost at your home country.

Are you Non-EU citizen?
If you are not from Europe you will initially have to pay the medical bill in advance by yourself. You can then submit the bill to your health insurer for reimbursement. You do not need a referral letter if you pay for the treatment yourself.

Surgery Pricing (2021)
A full medical treatment at Van den Eeden Hip Clinic costs € 10.323,38 including all consultations, the implant, the surgical procedure and one overnight stay at the clinic.
